Pinwheels

Cocoa Daisy’s blog post for today is about pinwheels as table decorations, and I thought I’d share the pinwheels I made in June.

As you may or may not know, I work as a teacher at a local high school. This year we started a new tradition: A celebration/party for the seniors. I teach at a vocational school and the 18 year olds are leaving school to start their vocational training.

Have you used your paper art skillz for decorating, other than place cards?

Sketch 215 from Pencillines

I think this is my first ever layout based on a Pencillines sketch. I’ve visited the blog often, but never gotten around to making anything. The photo was taken last fall, I think, and I found it, already printed when I tried to clean my office/scrap space. The story is this: Husband hates anything kitsch. Not because it’s kitsch, but because it is clutter. He’s not too big on decorating. I got this because it was just so god damn cool! At least I think so… He quickly named it “avguden” (the demigod), and after a while he started moving it around when I was not looking – on the table, in the kitchen, the desk in my office, and then swore it wasn’t him doing it. Out cats didn’t like it either. If it was put on the coffee table, they’d pull it down during the night!

It’s a secret!

It seems I haven’t shared our new picture wall with the readers of this blog, yet, so I have two photos for you. The first was taken mid March, the second today, as I added a few photos on Monday.

It’s not long before this month’s Gutter Girlz challenge will be revealed, and I thought I could share a sneak with you all…

Bursting with creativity, but…

There are days when I feel like I’m bursting with creativity, but have no outlet for it. It’s like that right now. I really want to make a layout or something, but I have no idea what photos to use, if I’ve got any at all, or what to photograph!

Céline just posted a new blog post about masking tape, and the layout she made for Studio Calico’s blog last week. I just love it! Masking tape, any tape, is my friend! As you’ve seen, I’ve used masking tape on my two recent layouts, as well! What’s your favorite medium at the moment?

Since I have no idea what to do with myself, I thought I could post a few photos of what I’ve done with our home lately. H&M Online launched a ‘home’ department some time back, and have started selling items with prints by Julie Verhoeven. I’ve already got the bag and the pillow cases, and wishes I could get the bedding as well, but alas, it doesn’t fit our huge duvet :( Also, I’ve seen this on a few other blogs as well, but we started a picture wall last weekend, and it looks great (or at least I think so). My resolution has been to take more photos of us together, and maybe this is a way to encourage just that?
