So, about that post yesterday…
I made this today, using a Simple Scrapper Premium Member Sketch.
I finally dug out my sewing machine and stitched a single frame around the distressed patterned paper. The sketch I used has been altered slightly – the size has been changed from 8.5×11 to 12×12 and also the photo’s orientation has been changed. But that’s how I work with sketches, I change them to suit my creative flow and the photo I want to use.
The title I made myself using my Silhouette Cameo. If you want to download the file, you may do so by following this link.
Most of the supplies are from Studio Calico and Cocoa Daisy kits, but the typewriter-like stamps on the journaling card are from two of Stromsvigt’s stamp sets. You should definitely check them out here.
Oh, and this little beauty’s name is Sansa… 5 weeks young and a little rascal! Love her already!
Thanks for visiting today – I appreciate it if you leave a comment, but no pressure!

Good morning, everyone!
Today I want to share some of the new Stromsvigt stamps! I was so excited when the lovely little package with the new clear stamps arrived in my mailbox!
On this layout I used the “The Good Stuff” stamp set.
This layout is very much related to my previous post on our Amsterdam-trip/café reviews. If you follow me on Instagram, you know I have a habit of photographing much of the food we eat, and this trip was no different. So, I had to make a layout about it!
The stamps were used on the journaling card on the left side.
I really enjoyed using all these different alpha stickers to create the title!I also have a card to share today. I’m not much of a card person, but I am really pleased with how this turned out.
For this I used the new “Classic You” in combination with the “awesome” wood mounted stamp from a previous release. I used a 03 American Crafts Precision pen to write “are” between the stamped images. Also, I’d like to add that I used the new Cocoa Daisy Hybrid ink for the stamps here. Stromsvigt’s top quality stamps in combination with the ink gave really crisp images!
Hop you have a good day, and thanks for visiting!
This month I want to share two layout I made using the Simple Scrapper sketches.
The first is for the June Story Starter – what a great way to kickstart a layout by focusing on the story. I’ve really worked on my journaling for the last couple of months, trying to put a greater emphasis on it.
On this I knew that I wanted to do a smooth transition from the hand-written journaling to the sticker title. Together with the wood veneer speech bubble, I think it worked out pretty good. The yellow is also so eye-catching in contrast to the dark brown background.
And then this is the opposite – no journaling, but no journaling needed, if you as me. I wanted this layout to focus on the photos and nothing else. I think you can agree?

Margrethe Aas Johnsen <– YOU ARE HERE!
Good morning! I hope you’ve all had a good week? I’ve been really busy with the end of year and getting all the grades in order at work! Not long until summer vacation now
Today I have a fun announcement. A couple of weeks ago I was approached by a scrapper whom I great admire. Nina Christensen, of Stromsvigt, is just starting up her own company, designing and selling limited quantity stamps. We’ve know each other from online for some time now, and while I admire her work, I hadn’t had the opportunity to work with her stamps yet. That would all soon change as she invited me and another scrapper, Magdalena Hanell, onto her brand new design team!
Such a fun surprise, and a big compliment too!
For this announcement, I made a layout using three of her stamps:
As you can see, the largest word in the title is a stamp. It’s a very sturdy, high-quality wood-mounted rubber stamp. The image came out so crisp and clear, I was really impressed!
I also added the fun triangles as accents – love this! And last, but not least, a few stars (the stamps in this kit).
I hope you take a look in her Etsy shop and I know you’ll find something you like! And, make sure you stop by both Nina and Magdalena for their projects
Thanks for stopping by today!
