FanDuel Set to Launch TV Network and Digital Platform

FanDuel, a subsidiary of Flutter Entertainment, is launching two digital networks to the US gaming market this September, just in time for the American football season. FanDuel TV and FanDuel+ will be available over cable carriers and streaming devices and give FanDuel a big head start in a gaming media market that’s certain to explode as regulated sports betting takes hold in the US.

FanDuel TV is the big star of this announcement and FanDuel is putting a lot of resources into insuring its success. The network, which is actually a re-branded version of the company’s old TVG Network, which focused on horse racing, will be available to audiences on Comcast Xfinity, Spectrum, Verizon FIOS, DirectTV, DISH, Cox Communications, FuboTV, YouTubeTV, and Hulu. FanDuel+ will be available on streaming services and devices including Roku, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire.

On the content side, FanDuel has enlisted the services of a number of well-known sports commentators to fill the hours. Kay Adams, former host of “Good Morning NFL” on the NFL Network, will be hosting a daily one-hour show on the network along with content from Bill Simmons’ The Ringer Network.

Mike Raffensperger, FanDuel’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented on the significance of launching a network like this in a recent press release saying, “FanDuel TV is the first network designed from the ground up to be watched by viewers with their phone in hand. We intend for FanDuel TV to sit at the intersection of live sports and interactive content and believe Kay is the best example of an on-air talent who can bring fans closer to the narratives of the games they care about most. Our goal is to provide fans compelling programming to watch and wager on in tandem with our mobile app.”

FanDuel+ will be available to any player with a current FanDuel account.
